Quality food assurance and personalized service remain the hallmark

of our founders, Joe and Lucy Lucio. Under the dynamic guidance
of son and
co-owner Louie Lucio, restaurants have been established all along
the
front range for your convenience.
Since 1970, when we opened our first
quaint, off-the-beaten-path restaurant in LaSalle, we've maintained
tantalizing food quality by preparing our old family recipes from
Mexico. This was done under the personal supervision of our other
owner,
"Aunt" Julia Lucio. We opened our first restaurant because
we wanted to
share the favorite recipes our family has enjoyed for so many years.
We continue to prepare those favorites in the old family tradition.
While staying with the basics of
good Mexican food, we've also updated ingredients and introduced
new dishes as tastes have changed. The Armadillo is the first
multi-location Mexican food restaurant anywhere to introduce
HealthMark selections.
Because of this we offer great Mexican
flavor with low fat, low cholesterol,
and low sodium preparation. When you want to unchain yourself from
the ordinary, we invite you to turn into an Armadillo and turn onto
